London Olympics 2012 Update

London Olympics 2012 Update

Uniassist Ltd is pleased to announce that the recent London Olympics 2012 Operations Trial went well. Our dedicated office and field operations staff carried out their usual duties over a two week period taking into account the restrictions that are soon to be in place. The outcome highlighted the excellent temporary street plans being put in place by TFL ( http://www.getaheadofthegames.com ) for the requirements of road and public transport users. This also enabled us to nominate certain operatives to use public transport where required.

With the help of our latest live vehicle tracking system and web-based PDA job reporting system this has enhanced our overall capabilities and strengthened our commitments not only to support our clients through the London Olympics 2012 but to evidence our ongoing commitments to meet our customer’s needs. The process allowed us to evidence key operative job selection and the challenges faced in delivering SLA’s and KPI’s within expectations.

Tank Refurbishment Successfully Completed for London Hostel Association

Uniassist have recently completed a major project on the roof of Sandeman Allen House, located in centralLondon.

Engineers successfully overcame some significant challenges in the completion of this project. Three large cold water storage tanks, located on top of this five storey building, required refurbishing and new enclosures erecting, to allow access for L8 compliance monitoring. A safe working area around the tanks had to be established with the erection of a scaffold access tower, walkway and fully safety railed platform. Uniassist specialists re-lined the tanks with a specialist coating before building new enclosures from durable modern materials.

On completion the association were “delighted” with the results.

Jason Holt (Managing Director) said “We have demonstrated that Uniassist is capable of delivering a job that some contractors would not take on, by using a little ingenuity and careful planning while creating a safe environment for our engineers.”
